Description
The Magnani 1404 Round Watercolour Block boasts some of the strongest, highest quality watercolour paper on the market. Each sheet is made up of 100% cotton fibre, is a sturdy 300gsm weight as well as internally and externally sized. The double sizing helps increase the stability of the paper and reduces warping/buckling when excessive water is applied. It also allows the artist to lift and rework the paint without the paper becoming oversaturated and in turn creating scratching.Â
Its circular edge is gummed to further prevent buckling and creating a solid block surface for working. The rough pressing maintains texture in the paper giving works a traditional and rich look. Its unique round shape lends itself perfectly to unusual pieces such as nightscapes, flowers or moons.Â
